First conference to promote green building with polystyrene insulating concrete forms in Klagenfurt

Klagenfurt will be the focus of the global ICF industry on September 8 and 9. ICF stands for insulating concrete forms, which are special formwork blocks made of polystyrene for interior and exterior walls. They are assembled on the building site by locking them together and, after inserting steel reinforcement, filled with concrete.

At Global Green Built's first conference in the Lakeside Technology Park, 70 attendees from Europe, North and South America, Canada and Asia, including ICF system suppliers, prefabricated house contractors and representatives of the renewable energy industry, will be discussing global promotion of innovative, green building with polystyrene insulating concrete forms and the activities involved.

GGB GmbH, a marketing company and HIRSCH Servo AG subsidiary, will be presenting its package solution for building ICF homes to delegates. Very high thermal and sound insulation values, up to 75% lower energy requirements and high cost savings are just some of the benefits gained by using polystyrene forms. Mobile manufacturing plants set up on site enable large-scale projects to be carried out, while keeping transport costs down low and reducing logistics operations.

GGB's aim for the future is to develop a partner platform and together to successively gain market shares from the brick and wooden construction industry.
