Marketing Company Global Green Built Founded to Promote "Green" Construction
Forming the marketing company GGB GmbH Global Green Built based in Glanegg is another step towards capturing the global market for ICF houses (ICF stands for insulated concrete form). To put it very simply, these polystyrene formwork blocks are assembled on the construction site like Lego bricks and then filled with concrete.
The aim of GGB GmbH is to use HIRSCH's mechanical engineering and processing expertise to create networks with international partner companies in the "green" construction field. This should facilitate entry in the market for what is a currently not yet widespread, but forward-looking construction method and consequently support growth.
GGB offers interested parties in the building industry a unique international partner platform with a tailored overall concept consisting of mobile production facilities, construction system, building advice and many other services.
Given the insulating properties of the polystyrene construction system, every new building using ICF technology saves energy (as it is insulated against heat and cold), thus reducing CO2 emissions by up to 80%. Manufacturing the ICF blocks in mobile plants close to where they are needed for the projects also minimizes the transport costs and therefore the CO2 emissions.
The company's target markets are the emerging economies in Eastern and Southern Europe, Latin America, Africa, the Middle East, GUS and Asia where local contractors often have development projects for building over 1,000 homes quickly and ecologically. Global Green Built is also specialized in low-cost housing construction for local climates and reconstruction projects following natural disasters.
Formed in June 2008, the new HIRSCH Servo subsidiary GGB GmbH Global Green Built is managed by the CEO of HIRSCH Servo AG, Kurt Hirsch, and Guntram Ottowitz who was the sales manager for Europe and GUS at HIRSCH Maschinenbau GmbH for many years.
